Book Review; Rising Tide: Dark Innocence (The Maura DeLuca Trilogy Book 1)

While vampires are not really my thing, I found this book to be compelling and hard to put down. I loved how the Author made it easy to get lost in the pages of the story and I didn’t even realize it was a vampire book until I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Claudette Melanson is a very talented Author and I will be reading more her work. πŸ™‚

Rising Tide: Dark innocence, is a coming of age story about a vampire in denial. Maura is unsure why strange things are happening and quite sure she is just a freak of nature. Her inabilty to make friends well only adds to the the isolated feelings she struggles with. Β Add to this mix> mean classmates, a cruel and dangerous prank, and a darkly handsome, mysteriously accepting young man who comes to her rescue; and you have the making of a suspence-filled and compelling book I was not able to put down. Turns out I like vampire books after all πŸ˜‰
